Maths Week

It is maths week 10th to the 14th of August.

Easby Park

Today we went to Easby park as part of our water unit. We went there to look at what is needed to make a healthy river and the different ways to measure its health. 

The students searched through the stream for different life that live in there, even finding some huge water spiders. It was a great day and a huge thanks to the parents and Mel for making this happen. 

Minstrel

Today we had a visit from the minstrel. He comes around to our school once every two years. He was very entertaining with his creative songs and informing us about the fishing issues in New Zealand. 

First Aid Course

Today we had Jen from Red Cross to work with our class on first aid. We learnt so much today - thanks Jen 

Speed touch

What a final day for the term - Daniel & Morgie from Waimea College came down and taught us an awesome game of speed touch - great fun!

Performance

Today we had an amazing group of performers. They are part of a group called Strike Force that are touring the country. They play drums and percussion instruments. It was impressive. 

Hip Hop with Dean & Ezra

We had an awesome opportunity to learn some dance moves with Dean & Ezra from the Stepping Out programme.  It was awesome to learn these flash moves. Hopefully we can master them before the school disco.
